Can I learn to kiteboard from a DVD, or is it best to take lessons?
While it is certainly possible to learn kiteboarding from a DVD, the inherent dangers involved in the sports means most experts recommend taking lessons from a qualified instructor. This is the best way to avoid injuries, which are much more common when learning through trial and error.
What kind of kiteboarding harness should I buy?
That depends on what is more comfortable for you. The basic harnesses that wrap around the lower back are usually more than adequate. However, there are other designs as well, and most experts say the right one is a matter of preference.
Should I use a kiteboard leash?
Many people recommend removing the leash from the board to avoid serious trauma injuries. However, this question is highly debatable.
