Kiteboard Line

The standard kiteboard line is about 23-25 meters in length. This length can vary depending on the size of the kite and the wind conditions. As a general rule, longer lines are used for lighter winds while shorter lines are used for strong winds.

Shorter kiteboard line is used in windy conditions in order to give a higher degree of control to the rider. There is a limit to this though, and most people do not recommend using lines shorter than 15 meters in length. Light winds require less stringent control, which is why longer lines are often used.

Kiteboard line strength is also very important. Most people recommend using line that is rated at about 2.5 times your weight. This means that if you weigh 200 lbs, your lines should be rated to at least 500 lbs.
